About Me

My photo
Ansonia, CT
My name is Mandy Comer. I have been doing photography off and on for 10 years, but really made it a profession after meeting my sister in law, who is also a professional photographer. She showed me how to take a picture capturing a moment, and make it really tell a story. I pride my work on capturing one or two images that really stand out and make my clients whisper,"..Wow!.." I am still evolving as a professional photographer, and look forward to learning more, and more during every shoot. I thoroughly enjoy being able to take my client's ideas and emotions and capture them in an image worth a thousand words. My photography is called "pretend photography" because I want my images to express imagination and bring the "make-beliefs" to life.

Beardsley Zoo!

Well I went to the Beardsley Zoo this past Sunday, and had an amazing time... I am going to make post through out the week of all the animals. A single blog post would be far too long. For now here are my favorites from the Tigers, and YES they are mating. It was a once in a life time kind of thing!

Snow Snow Snow!!!

Yesterday I was able to get out in some freshly fallen snow and take a peaceful walk in the Ansonia Nature Center. It was so peaceful and quiet.... I got a lot of great shots. The birds there were breath taking, and didn't seem afraid of me.

After I left the center I headed to Boothe Park and the snow and trees there were amazing! The sheep are still out, yet not impressed by me at all. Please enjoy some of the photos! The rest can be seen here at my facebook page.
